How to File a Counter-Notification

If you receive a copyright infringement Notification and believe that the material was removed or restricted in error, you can file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the removed material and where it was located before it was removed.
  2. Your contact information, including your name, address, phone number, and email address.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where the service provider may be found.
  5. Your signature (a typed full name is acceptable).

Please be aware that if you file a false counter-notification, you may be liable for damages, including legal fees.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may forward it to the person who filed the original complaint.
