EVnSteven Version 2.3.0, Release #43

EVnSteven Version 2.3.0, Release #43

We’re thrilled to announce the release of Version 2.3.0, Release 43. This update brings several enhancements and new features, many of which are inspired by your feedback. Here’s what’s new:

Friendly Uppercase Station IDs

Station IDs are now easier to identify and input, making the user experience smoother. We think you’ll agree ID:LWK5LZQ is easier to type than ID:LwK5LzQ

Improved QR Code Station Search and Check-In

Even better than typing a station ID, you can now quickly find stations by scanning the QR code on the station signage, streamlining the search and check-in process. This feature is also perfect for new users downloading the app for the first time.

NFC Tap (Coming Really Soon)

And even cooler than that, NFC tap gives you the same functionality with a simple tap. Really soon, you’ll be able to program your own NFC tags and attach them to your printed signage. This will allow users to tap to download the app, add a station, start a new session, or stop an ongoing one. This gives station owners more options for how users check in and out of their stations. We wanted to include this feature in this release, but it’s not quite ready yet. Stay tuned!

Expected Checkout Time

We’ve added a feature that displays the expected checkout time, providing better information on station availability and helping users plan their charging sessions more efficiently. What’s better than knowing when the current user is expected to leave? This feature is especially useful for stations lots of users. Station owner will appreciate the additional revenue.

New Website

We’ve completely revamped our website, and you’re looking right at it. The new site includes comprehensive guides, documentation, educational resources, news, and articles. With our lightning-fast search index, finding anything you need is instant.

Enhanced User Experience

We’ve made the app more intuitive and enjoyable to use, making navigation easier for everyone. We’ve improved animations, transitions, and the overall look and feel in small but important ways. The app is now more responsive and faster than ever, and we’ve fixed a few bugs along the way.

Adjustable Session Durations Post-Checkout

You can now modify your session duration after checkout—ideal for those using dedicated outlets in strata or apartment environments. This feature also accommodates situations like forgotten check-ins or check-outs, with station owners having full control over its availability.

App Ratings

After every session, you’ll be asked to rate the app. If your rating is low, we ask for your feedback. If your rating is high, we encourage you to add the rating to the app store and write a review. This helps grow the app and ensure that it remains viable and available to everyone. We count on your support to grow the app—it wouldn’t exist without you. We really appreciate your ratings and reviews.

Finally, and as Always: Charge EVs at your Property without Installing Expensive Charging Stations

EVnSteven is the only app that allows you to charge your EV at your property without installing expensive charging stations. We make it easy for you to charge your EV at any outlet, and we make it easy for property owners to track and bill for electricity usage. We’re committed to making EV charging accessible and affordable for everyone.
